What To Expect

Climate change is scary, and you're already reduce-reuse-recycling. How can you step up your game and help shape a more resilient, more sustainable future for your community? By using your voice! It's your representatives & senators' job to represent your ideas and needs at the State House - but how can they know what you want them to do if you don't tell them?

At this advocacy workshop (led by a Mass Rivers Alliance Policy Specialist), you will learn how to contact your elected officials, make your case, and most importantly, why it matters. Come meet fellow climate-minded folks and learn how to be confident, prepared participant in state and local policy.

Come by at 7:00pm for drinks, snacks, and an engaging evening of action!

Mass Rivers works directly with state agencies, legislators, and conservation organizations to advance climate resilience. Katharine Lange, who will be leading this workshop, is Mass Rivers' Policy Specialist. She partners with local conservation groups and state legislators to advocate for stronger environmental policy and increased funding for state environmental agencies. She lives (and bikes) in Cambridge.
